Blog Challenge Day 2
May 2, 2017
And just because I didn't do it yesterday...
Here's a recent pic of me!
: )
20 facts about me...
1. I am a 1st grade teacher, but I have also taught 4th grade and piano, as well as music and 5th grade for a short while.
2. I LOVE to travel and I definitely would like to do more. I haven't really traveled too widely, but the other countries I have visited include: Canada, Guatemala, Belize, Israel, Jordan, and the Bahamas. Hopefully I'll be heading to India and Nepal this summer!
3. I started horseback riding 4 years ago - English jumping. I'm not really sure what discipline it is; I don't compete or anything. It's just English riding and I practice going over jumps.
4. I have played the piano since I was 10 (I was a music major in college).
5. I am the pianist at my church. I also played the organ for many years, but I've never officially taken lessons.
6. I want to learn photography, Spanish, French, and Hebrew.
7. I LOVE to read and I help coach our school's Battle of the Books team.
8. I first read Anne of Green Gables at age 8 and I have loved it ever since. Redheads have to stick together.
9. So yes, I have red hair.
10. I'm not a super-adventurous person, but I have tried the following at least once: parasailing, Scuba diving, swimming with nurse sharks and stingrays. I'm pretty proud that I at least tried these things!! :)
11. I've only had one cavity in my life and I was supposedly born with it.
12. I've never broken a bone. Too cautious, I guess. :)
13. I'm totally a country girl at heart. I could definitely see myself living in the middle of 100 acres on a horse farm. But I also love the city life, at least to visit. NYC is so much fun!
14. My eyes change colors - sometimes they look brown, but they have been known to look hazel and even green.
15. My favorite flowers are tulips and my favorite season is spring.
16. I am a Mother's Day baby. : )
17. I love books of lists, ideas and things to do.
18. My favorite Disney princess is Cinderella, although I probably look more like Ariel and act more like Belle. I also love Tinkerbell, but I guess she's not a "real" Disney princess?
19. The first movie I saw in a theater was Pinocchio.
20. And finally, I made the decision to accept Jesus as my Savior at 6. Yes, 6. My faith has been a huge part of my life and made me the person that I am today. I totally believe that I would not be alive today without God - and this is because of more than one instance in my life.
Until tomorrow...
